Parasound NewClassic 200 Premplifier & DAC
With 192-24 DAC, MM/MC phonostage, headphone amp, and bass management.
The NewClassic 200 brings low noise and a musical sound to a compact unit. The onboard DAC uses the same 192kHz-24 bit circuit from the Halo P 5, offering USB, optical, and coax digital audio inputs.
There are four line inputs as well as a phono input for MM or MC cartridges.
Onboard analog bass management offers a variable 20-140 Hz high pass crossover, and subwoofer power and level can be operated via the remote control. The subwoofer output offers an 80 Hz low pass filter. A full-range mono output can be used for the subwoofer or for mono listening. There are variable and fixed stereo preamp outputs, and a home-theater bypass. There is a front panel Aux input with 12 dB of additional gain, and a dedicated headphone amplifier.
Bass, treble and balance adjustments can be made by remote control. Other features include front-panel dimming, input naming, back-lit remote control with discrete buttons, and trigger output.
